David has over 23 years of experience as a business development professional for a wide spectrum of organizations ranging from General Electric and Borland in the High Tech sector to InSight Health and Alliance Imaging in the healthcare industry. This experience includes everything from management, sales, and marketing to mergers and acquisitions. David was introduced to both RCT and CST while leading a community build for a Landscape Structures playground purchased by his son's school. He was so impressed with the quality of the products offered by Landscape Structures and the quality and professionalism of the RCT and CST teams that he decided to acquire both RCT and CST. David is an avid sports fan and faithfully follows the Rangers, Mavericks, Stars and Cowboys as well as anything related to Texas Tech. David's hobbies include woodworking, acoustic guitar, golf and volunteer construction projects through his church and son's school. He is a loving and devoted husband to his wife, father to his three children and granddad to his three grandchildren.

Greg  Hawkins, CPSI

As a veteran sales and marketing professional, Greg possesses extensive business development experience gleaned from positions held with Fortune 500 companies such as Tyson Foods, Sara Lee Corporation, and Gap, Inc. Immediately prior to joining RCT in 2004, Greg was the Southwest Sales Specialist for the Skatewave Skateparks division of Landscape Structures, Inc; bringing to RCT the most specific manufacturer’s representation available. As a skateboarder for life, avid extreme sports fan, and general kid-at-heart, Greg has the unique opportunity to combine his passion for skateparks and playgrounds with his sales and sales-management knowledge to act as a real solution provider for the growing and inquisitive marketplace.  Greg received a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University; and in 2008, earned CPSI (Certified Playground Safety Inspector) designation from the NRPA’s National Playground Safety Institute.

In addition to skating, Greg’s hobbies include tennis, furniture refinishing, painting, and learning the electric guitar. As a devoted husband and father, Greg is most happy spending time with friends and family.

Tracey joined us in early 2004 and has charged, with enthusiasm, into covering the Austin – San Antonio market and its surrounding area. As a Personal Banker with Wells Fargo Bank in Lakeway, Texas for the previous three years, Tracey honed her skills in interpersonal relationships with customers; Tracey too, has earned her CPSI (Certified Playground Safety Inspector) designation from the NRPA. Married, with two boys, she and her husband, Rob, work together whenever appropriate to better serve our customers’ needs. Rob is the representative for Sun Ports International (Shade Structures) in Tracey’s territory. Sun Shades and playground equipment go together like apple pie and ice cream!

Charlotte recently joined the RCT team, bringing her love of children, enthusiasm for art, and strict attention to detail. She worked most recently in management at a Primrose School as the Curriculum Coordinator. She is passionate about representing companies that are recognized as industry leaders in quality and customer service, and innovation. She is happily married and is a loving mother to her three beautiful daughters.

Tom arrived in June 2005 with over nine years of sales experience in the playground industry. Working inside sales for another major playground manufacturer’s rep organization in the Dallas area, Tom has gained extensive knowledge of playground design and installation. Tom specializes in responding to open bids and has learned through trial-and-error how to perform complicated take-offs from plans and specifications. Tom’s strong points include his ability to listen closely to customer requests and formulate a cost-effective response. His knowledge of the products offered by “those other guys” enables him to reply to the query “Is Landscape Structures the best in the industry?” with a strong “Yes!” based on personal knowledge and experience. Tom has lived in the Dallas area for over thirty years. Tom works inside sales and support and outside sales for key accounts in the public Park and Recreation market in the Dallas area.

John joined Recreation Consultants of Texas in 2006 following 17 plus years of playground sales and installation experience earned while working with two other playground equipment manufacturers. Long interested in Landscape Structures playground equipment because of its excellent reputation in this industry, John now utilizes his easy-going communication skills and experienced design capabilities to serve the western most area of the RCT territory. He is a life-long resident of Glen Rose with outside interest in landscaping and remodeling which ideally suits him to provide smart playground solutions.

Since retirement in 2008, Jane Anne has earned her Personal Training Certificate and recently completed her Certified Playground Safety Inspector's Certification. In addition to her passion for fitness and healthy lifestyles in general, she loves to play golf, attend A&M sporting events, read, travel, cross stitch and work in the yard. She and her husband of 31 years, John (also a former Parks and Recreation guy), live in Coppell. Her daughter, Erin, is a junior at Texas A&M.

Shaun arrived in January 2009 with over five years of management experience in the retail industry. Shaun is steadily gaining knowledge of playground design and installation. Shaun specializes in responding to the sales team with help on proposals and has learned through trial-and-error how to perform complicated requests from plans and specifications. Shaun’s strong points include her ability to listen closely to specific requests, attention to detail and produce a cost effective response. Shaun provides inside sales support to the team out in the field for RCT as well as inside office support including accounting for both RCT and CST. Shaun has lived in the Dallas area for 15 years and currently resides in Rowlett with her husband Will and four children ages, 5-12, who themselves love our product!!

James Fish, RLA

James Fish, RLA, ASLA joined CST as Co-Owner/President in January 2009. James has since sold his interest in CST yet remains on staff as Vice President of CST. He presently oversees the day-to-day operations of the company & consults on all playground sales & installations where he utilizes his years of experience to ensure a smooth and accurate project that meets all applicable ASTM, CPSC, and ADAAG requirements. James retired from the City of Mansfield on January 27, 2009 after 21 years serving the cities of Fort Worth, Arlington, and Mansfield here in Texas as well as Lexington, Kentucky. He has worked in park planning, park design, park construction, management, contract negotiations and as a representative of the Parks and Recreation Department at city council, park boards and neighborhood meetings. His education as a Registered Landscape Architect uniquely qualifies him to continue to grow Custom Swings of Texas. James has successfully managed complete turn-key projects including McWhorter Park in Mesquite, Roanoke Soccer Park in Roanoke, and Thrush Park in Flower Mound. James is married with two children and enjoys baseball and most outdoor activities. His hobbies include photography, electronics and computers.

Allen has been with CST since 1998. His “can do” attitude allows him to get the job done efficiently, and most importantly, the job is done right the first time! Allen and his crew are Certified Installers of Landscape Structures Equipment and have installed many Landscape Structures Playgrounds. Allen insures that our customer’s needs are met by providing a quick, quality installation that meets all current ASTM and ADAAG guidelines.

Allen is married to Annie, an architect and mom to four boys ranging in age from 8-16. He also coaches baseball for his son’s team.
